During my time at Harps Crossing Baptist Church, I joined the AV team, initially handling simple tasks like flipping light switches. However, as the church expanded, so did my responsibilities. With the addition of a new auditorium boasting 150 fixtures, I delved into the intricacies of DMX control using an ETC Express console. Over time, we upgraded our lighting setup, incorporating LED RGB pars and Moving spots. Faced with the limitations of our old console, we made the switch to a Cognito2 Console by Pathway, where I honed my skills in patching, programming, and operating the system for a diverse array of events—from services and concerts to dramas and business meetings. This journey not only illuminated the church but also laid the groundwork for my future endeavors in stage lighting.
